Moving Forward, Full Speed Ahead

Throughout everyday life, there are certain moments, certain conversations, that spark you to try something new, begin a grand adventure, or even start living outside of the box.  Each of these beginnings completely change your outlook and makes you grateful for the opportunity that led you to this amazing place in your life.

One of my favorite quotes from Steve Jobs states, “ Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”

I always think of this quote when I reflect upon my accomplishments both personally and professionally.   I never knew where all of these great experiences would lead, but as I reflect upon on these situations,I know that my passion for learning and life has connected these dots to bring me where I am today.

Life is filled with challenges, and finding an outlet to share your accomplishments and  trials allows you that time to reflect and see how the dots become connected not only in your life, but also to many others as we continue on that journey to provide the best example, and lead with confidence. In my experience, I have found that blogging  is one of the greatest ways to share your voice, your story, that we all need to share with one another. I have had many blogging opportunities as a teacher, a colleague, a graduate student, and as educational technology consultant which have allowed me to share insights, aha moments, and resources that made a difference in my life.  Now as I begin a new chapter as an instructor, I want to start fresh with a space that will allow me to share these conversations, connections, and reflections not only as an instructor, but as a learner that culminates all of these experiences and professional opportunities that have brought me here today. The roles in life may continue to change, but I will always remain a passionate learner in any situation that is brought my way.

As my journey continues to move full speed ahead, I look forward to sharing ponderings and tidbits along with way with you..
